Kanuka Digital – who are they?

So, here we are: Kanuka Digital. A new digital marketing agency, little sister to our big brother and eCommerce experts, iWeb. Wondering who the heck we are and what we do? Allow me to explain.

Background story

I should introduce myself at this point. My name is Joe, I’m the Digital Marketing Manager and I originally joined the iWeb team tasked with growing the digital marketing team from the ground up.

Fast forward two years and that team has already successfully helped over 20 of iWeb’s clients with their digital marketing. It’s this rapid growth and customer success that has enabled us to branch out with the launch of Kanuka Digital.

“Oh, great, another digital marketing agency” I hear you cry. That’s fair enough, I’ve been in the digital marketing game for long enough to know that there’s plenty of others there – some great, some really not. So, why are we different?

Well, truth is we’re not saying we’re different, we just want to be one of the best and get the best results for our clients. How will we achieve that? By employing bright, talented people, by using the best tools, by embracing change and by always striving to be better at what we do.

Of course, having our roots in iWeb helps. This means we enjoy the backing of a long established agency – 23 years to be precise – and respected eCommerce experts. Because we’ve all been part of the iWeb ethos, we know the importance of open communication, transparency in what we do and an honest, down to earth approach. And just like iWeb, we’re here to stay.

What we do

We’re already working with the likes of Mountfield Mowers and Tile Giant (case study coming soon) to drive more quality traffic to their website and ultimately, increase conversions. We primarily do this through:

Digital strategy – defining your objectives and putting a plan in place to help you achieve them

SEO – thorough on-site, off-site and technical strategies that ticks all the  to help sites rank better

Content marketing – from blogs and infographics to video, we create content to engage, educate and entertain

Social media – building conversations and relationships, not just follower numbers

Paid search – strategic, highly targeted PPC and Google Shopping campaigns to give you a boost over your competition

Email marketing – personal, timely and engaging campaigns using platforms such as Dotmailer and Mailchimp

Web design & development

We also offer web design and web development services that compliments iWeb’s Magento expertise. This means we focus more on content managed websites using platforms such as WordPress, albeit still with transactional elements.

We’re not new to the game, our designers and developers have years (and years) of experience and understand that great design isn’t just about making a beautiful looking website. What’s a Kanuka?

I’m glad you asked. Kanuka is a tree native to New Zealand known for its beautiful blossoming white and pink flowers. When our director Ian spotted it’s beauty on his travels, it seemed appropriate on two levels:

1. How we’ve blossomed out of iWeb
2. How we’re helping businesses blossom online
