Kanuka Digital’s 1st Birthday

It’s been a whole year since we stepped out from the shadow of our big brother, iWeb, and launched our new agency identity – Kanuka Digital. We’ve seen the last 12 months fly by but we’re super proud of all we’ve achieved; from growing our client profile and expanding our team to learning new skills and evolving our offering to clients.

To celebrate our 1st birthday, we’re taking a look at a handful of our proudest moments from the year…

#1 We Achieved Google and DotDigital Partners

As a new agency, it’s hard to get approval from other businesses, particularly when the competition is so fierce. However, our dedicated team of experts have made it their duty to ensure we’re as hot as hell when it comes to our experience of digital marketing knowledge and tools.

We’ve proven this by achieving multiple certifications and partner statuses. Two of our biggest successes were securing our Google and DotDigital partnerships.

We’ve shown ourselves worthy to work with these big names within the marketing world. We can confidently offer complex email marketing tactics and multiple Google services like PPC management, local SEO execution through Google My Business and many more.

#2 We Bought Ice-Cream For Stafford Technology Park

Our first event was in the summer of 2018 to help get the Kanuka Digital name out there. It involved our team hiring an ice cream van and giving out hundreds of free Mr Whippy’s with SEO site audits to the businesses on our Stafford Technology Park.

We managed to generate plenty of signups to our upcoming marketing conference and some new business leads in the process. Who knew free ice cream could generate so much business?

#3 We Hosted Kanuka Live 2018

Second, from our ice-cream stunt, we hosted another event though this one was a little more professional… It was the first Kanuka Digital hosted marketing conference, Kanuka Live, which took place in September 2018 – just four months after our launch.

Kanuka Live was created to offer free marketing insights and tips to the local businesses around Staffordshire, with talks from industry experts, including the BBC. We’re already planning the next event for 2019 with more great speakers and bags of free marketing insights.
