Willows Veterinary Group comprises 25 practices across central and Northern England, looking after pets, farm animals and horses.
Given the vast number of offices within the group, finding a solution for managing individual websites was becoming more difficult. Using the WordPress multisite feature, we developed a consistent platform for each individual practice to showcase their services while maintaining a consistent quality brand.
The main vet group website acts as a directory to lead into local branches, with a customised Google Map and practice information for each. Implementing a user area for pet owners to upload important information about their pets in case of an emergency, helps the vets to provide a more tailored and quicker treatment. The launch was carried out in four stages in order to provide better support for each branch and fix any teething problems along the way.
Willows Vetinery Group consists of 28 practices and each of these require their own site that all needed to share the same styling whilst containing bespoke information.
In total 4 different themes were created which allowed for it to be tailored to the requirements for each location.
By utilising the Broadcast plugin we were able to edit the shared content in only one place. Allowing content to shared from the main website to the branch websites.
One of the bespoke elements we created for Willows was their Lost and Found section. This allows users to send information directly to the Willows Lost and Found boards, meaning that they could be quickly added and easily updated.
Their in memoriam or “Paws for Thought” section has a similar treatment allowing users to fill in a simple form in remberance of their beloved pets.
With a completely different design the Wikipet site offers pet owners approved advice from some the UKs leading Veterinary doctors and Charter Veterinary surgeries.
